I found a spot by the calm lake and spent some time sketching a small, elegant stone lantern monument. Using my pencil for the initial lines, I then added depth with a fine-point pen and brought the scene to life with a pop of color from my markers. It was a wonderful exercise in capturing the stillness of a place, a quiet moment of reflection in the middle of a vibrant metropolis.
This experience reminded me that true travel isn’t just about visiting famous landmarks, but also about discovering the unexpected pockets of peace that a city holds.
